Even though the Saratoga’s wings are tapered, their mean chord length and span and 6.2 aspect ratio have tremendous floating potential in ground effect. Nailing your speed on takeoff and approach is the key to managing this workhorse. With one notch of flaps, aim to rotate at 65 knots when fully loaded.
